Antiphonic F.A.Q.
- Is Antiphonic a Christian music company? Yes, Antiphonic is 100% Christian music.
- What does Antiphonic do? Antiphonic is a Christian music company with emphasis on A) Hard to find titles, B) Independent artist support, and C) Cheap prices, not so we can gloat about it but for the poor kids out there with very little money, which is why we have a 99 cent menu so you can stock up on new music for that long car trip without spending a lot of money. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's bad, and none of our prices are too high, especially compared to some.
- Antiphonic doesn't have what I am looking for. Can you tell me who does? If we can find the title we will get it for you. However if none of our providers have this item we can direct you to other retailers who might have it. Afterall, we're here to serve you!
- My band just released a new CD. Does Antiphonic want to carry it? Absolutely! Please read our consignments page for information on getting your latest (or oldest, for that matter) Christian music project into our online catalog on consigment, no setup fees involved. Please note: Your music doesn't have to be overtly Christian (aka so many "Jesuses" per minute) but we are here specifically to support music made by Christians.
- Why do you support only Christian music? Antiphonic supports only Christian music because of our faith in Christ and God. We also support it because it gets so little support in this world and we enjoy fighting for this underdog. Why should the world have all of the good music stores?
- What does Antiphonic believe? We believe in Christ the King and Son of God, the ONLY Way, the ONLY Truth, the ONLY Life eternal, and the only way to God Almighty. Through man's fall into sin mankind was separated from God for all eternity and condemed to eternal death in Hell until Jesus died on the cross and then rose again so that He might take our punishment for us and act as our bridge to God in Heaven. We believe in the trinity and we believe in spreading the gospel without judging others but in sharing the Bible and shining with his love and teachings. God did not send His Son to Earth to judge the Earth, thus we must not judge either lest we be judged in return by God.
- What styles of music does Antiphonic carry? We carry any and all genres of Christian music we can find. Rap, reggae, industrial, rock & roll, country, heavy metal, screamo, gospel, ska, Christmas music, etc.
- How many titles does Antiphonic currently carry? Last count there were about 500 different CDs, cassettes, and vinyl records in the store, though it hasn't been officially counted yet. Of those 500+ titles there exist approximately 3,000 CDs at our home base alone.
- Is Antiphonic a branch of Flaming Fish Music in Canada? Not at all. Other than buying Flaming Fish's warehouse of CDs and thus carrying many of their titles, we are in no way, shape, or form related to Flaming Fish Music. - I have a question about Automata magazine. Who can I ask? If you question is about an order that included one of these magazines, you can contact us. - Does Antiphonic sell gift certificates? We sure do! Send a digital certificate to someone's E-Mail (reccomended) or a physical certificate to their mail box. Click here to order.
- What does Antiphonic offer other than a music store? Glad you asked! If you're looking for something else to do other than browse the store we have a community forum you might be interested in. If you've already been there there's a web log (blog) kept perodically by the staff of Antiphonic, which is also available on LiveJournal and Myspace. And speaking of Myspace we have a profile there too which you are welcome to visit us at. There's also an online encyclopedia wiki-style called Antipedia where you can go and read all about Christian music. If you don't see the article you wanted to read we welcome you to write it and add to our database of Christian info.
Along with all of that, we are also working on broadening our services to the public as you can see in our services page. We currently offer digital remastering for vinyl records, web hosting, artist promotions, and, of course, a way to sell your music through our store. Some restrictions apply.
Greenhorn Records F.A.Q.
- When did Greenhorn first open? The label first began in mid-2003 as a banner under which to release a Christmas compilation. It went on from there to become a supporter of Christian electronic music featuring bands such as Saints & Children, Olney, Dust of Broken Heart, and Melodymaker along with other compilations.
- When are Omnibus volumes 2 and 3 due out? These compilations have been in the works for quite a while waiting for all of the song submissions and artwork to finally come in. Most likely they'll be available in Spring and Summer 2007.
- Why did Greenhorn join forces with Antiphonic? Any peticular reason? The two joined to support each other "under one banner" so to speak., with Greenhorn as the label and Antiphonic as the distributer. Antiphonic distributes many titles, however, and the benefit was more for Greenhorn than it was for the store. Because of the join Greenhorn's music has become more known than it ever was alone.
